Launching Merry Market: Building Awareness from the Ground Up As a first-year event, Merry Market had no existing brand recognition or social media presence. The goal was to generate awareness, build excitement, and drive event attendance — all while working exclusively on Instagram. Every post, comment, and story had to count without multi-channel support.

  • Landing Page Development: Designed a polished, branded landing page with essential event details and a ticket purchase link.

    Content Strategy: Highlighted event sneak peeks, vendor spotlights, and behind-the-scenes stories to build excitement.

    Community Engagement: Responded promptly to DMs and comments, curated local maker content, and shared Austin event posts to broaden reach and foster interaction.

    Consistent Posting Schedule: Maintained regular posts and stories to keep the event top-of-mind.

Results.

  • Event Attendance

    Welcomed 350-400 attendees, including media and VIP guests.

  • Ticket Sales

    Sold 135 tickets in advance, with an additional 200 purchased on the day of the event.

  • Instagram Reach

    Reached over 8,300 accounts, with 96.7% coming from non-followers.

  • Engagement

    Achieved 827 content interactions, including 56 shares and 54 comments.

  • Audience Growth

    Gained 312 new followers, with 72% of the audience based in Austin.
